How to get up and ready for school 

7:00 the alarm goes of and then open your eyes then shut them, then go back to sleep then wait till you student tells it's wake up time. Let your parents make your lunch while your getting dressed and doing your hair. Drag yourself to the kitchen with your bag and lunch box fill up your drink bottle by the cool as double door frige, get the toaster out and plug it in take the bread wait for it to pop. Cover it in butter then a light spread of marmite and then have a drink of water.

Left behind

A family had come to the Sara dessert to discover different animals and insects, the family brought 5 suitcases and 4 back backs one for each of them and inside there was 2 drink bottles ad a lot of food. There are 2 children and their names are Lilly and Joe the are both 10 and the Mother is Karen and the Farther is Steve. They had a tent and blow up beds they were all pack to stay. They were there for five day and five nights. They walked and walked for hours and hours trying to find insects and animals but there were none they had come all this is way and there is nothing and they can't leve till 4 more days the kids want to go home and there moaning and groaning and Mother and Farther said" we are tired and want to sleep". The Marshmallow family are stuck all they have to eat now are flapagaber and yoyofolo. I comes to the last day. They pack there bags and pull down the tent and put on there bags, they see a car in the distance and they cheered and cheered. They packed the truck and hoped into it and as the drove off they saw a suit case had been left behind... 10 YEARS LATER.

Headline all over the new say "A family had been to the sara desserts and walked and walk for hours on end and when they came to the end they found a suit case and inside was the name Lilly and Joe Marshmallow" The press and police search for this family name and you probably wounding why are they trying to find this owner of this suit case.. well you can give this story an happy ending.

Heart Rate

 What is heart rate? Is when your number of heart beats per second.


What is the normal heart rate-for some one your age show how the calculation is worked out ?  I have researched on two websites the the average heart rate is around 70-110 bpm

When you exercise your heart rate ? According to three websites it says the your hear rate increases because you moving a lot more and you mussels are being used and you need more oxygen.

How dose you heart rate change as you get older ?
Your heart rate goes down.

How do you measure? You can measure it by putting your hand on your wrist or your neck.

My vist to room 43

In 3 block yesterday me and a group of 4 went next door to look at the satellite class room. They have a new classroom because their other classroom burnt down it happend by and a fult in the fan. Bobby showed us around the classrooms we saw were all the students worked . Bobby showed us how he worked on the computer it is really cool because he has a big keyboard and a big mouse because Bobby has trouble with his hands. I really enjoyed meeting Kara, Phenix and Bobby. Bobby said that were welcome to come again.

My weekend

In the weekend surprisingly my friend Amy and I washed my dads are in PJ's and we climbed on the window so we could wash the roof and then we sat in the bucket of water to make our bums warm because it was soo cold.
You'll find it hard to believe after church we got up on stage and sang One Direction songs lucky most of the people had gone and paster Mike said if one of us get baptisted we get to sing any song that we like at church.
 This weekend Amy and I made a movie of our mums and we made there voices sound funny and I was my mum and I dressed my mum up in a flash jacket and pj's pants and Amy was her mum and she had classes and a jumper and To tell the truth when ever they talked we would mock them in the voice that we taked in.

Rimu Arts

Rimu Tree                      

The Rimu tree is found in most Forrests around New Zealand, the place were a lot of these trees are found in the west cost of south island.

They grow up to 50 meters tall but most of them only make it to 20 or 45 meters it's life span is 800 to 900 years.
The scientific name for it is Dacrydium cuppressinum, it's english name is red pine and it's mori name is Rimu as we normally call it.

It is a really good wood to use as a lot of homes have Rimu in them. It is used to make wood furniture. The inner part it good to help cuts and burns.

Rimu house is the best house at Tauranga Intermediate School because we follow the stars.

Golden Toad

The golden toad was found by herpetologist Jay Savage in 1966. The toad was noticed by it bright color and it became native to a rain forrest in Costa Rico. It came extinct a lot of the pools came died up and out 3,000 only 8 males and two females could be located. The last time they tried to find golden toads and there were no recored of them ever since.

Periodic table

I learnt that the periodic table is a whole lot of chemicals that are used all around the world for different things including us humans. The periodic table was made by Dmitri Mendeleev there are 118 elements around the world. There chemicals get there names by people who found them or were the chemical was discovered. Some of these chemicals are dangerous.

The world

The best scientists team in the 1970's had set a plan to measure the world. They didn't tell the measurement but they said the world would start falling apart I don't see how that could happen since the world is still together. Scientists say that there are more things in space than we think, and theres still more to be discovered and heaps to been seen.  The last 40 years people still don't know if the dark matter exists. 

Albert Einstein.

Albert Einstein.

Albert was born on the 14 March 1879 and died in 1955 18 of April age 76, he spent a lot of his teenage years in munich. He was very famous for creating a+b+c= known as a mathematic formala or other was known as algebra, he is a great physicists in America and get nobel Laureates that means he gets a lot of rewards for the things he did.

Bridge and Balloon.

In year 5 at Tauranga Primary School  part of our teach unit we had to build and bridge out of newspaper and string and see if a balloon would flow down it. Frist we had to roll the news papper tight so it would be strong to stand up it took us ages to roll it up well, but we did it in the end. We got the selctape and string and tied the rolls of newspaper one by one, other people had to help hold the paper so it would be easy to tie but there was a problem with the selctape. The  selctape was making it fall down and it was not standing so we rolled up more paper sticks so it would stand, so having more helped it stand strong. We blowed up the balloon and see if it went down it fell of a few times but with some help of wind we completed the projet. I really enjoyed it because it was fun working out what needed to be done.

Camp Post

Last week all the year 8's from Rimu House went off to school camp.

I'm proud that I gave every every thing my best shot even if they were scary but I didn't do the rabbit run because to me that was way beyond frightening to me. Also I am proud of the rafting my team got 11 mins for going to down the river because last year we got the worst time in the history of Ngamuwahine Camp 20 min so we definitely wasted my last time.

Believe it or not on Tuesday I slept outside in a bush in a bivouac on the cold hard forest floor, I was sleeping on the edge of the tent so when I woke up in the morning my face was numb and red it was freezing cold. My group and I didn't go to sleep un-till half past one in the morning !!! Before we went to sleep we sat around the camp fire and told scary stories.

The most rewarding thing was coming down from the beam because it was around 20 meters high and having to walk across a slippery and wet (but not too wet) log, it was a bit scary, so being back on ground was really rewarding.
